Setting html view as default

I've been told by everyone that you can now set html view as the default in Gmail. I cannot find this anywhere on the gmail page. I've looked at everything on the page, and signed in and out. Still nothing. I even cleared the cash and cookies to see if that had to do with not finding it. I know you can bookmark the html view, but I can easily go to it on the Google home page. How could I find it?

ok, i found it by looking around the vew switching links. there be a set html view as default there. i'm not sure if you need to be in standard to see it however

I found it.
When you login to gmail, somewhere on the bottom of the page is "html view" link. When you'll click it, the page will go to html view.
Then somewhere at t the top of the page is link "set html view as default" or something like that. It's below link "switch to standard view" I think.
Search for it.

I found it! i was using the link for html view at the top instead of the bottum.
